Watermark PDF

Add a text or image watermark to every PDF page — opacity, angle, and over/under modes. Free and private in your browser.

Your files stay on your device.

Processing

Stamp a text or image watermark across every page of your PDF without uploading the file.

Start from a classic diagonal CONFIDENTIAL template, switch to your own wording or logo, tune opacity and size, and preview page one before you download.

How to watermark a PDF

  1. Drop a PDF into PDFPeach.
  2. Choose text or image watermark, set wording or upload a PNG/JPG logo.
  3. Adjust angle, opacity, size, and over vs under content.
  4. Preview, then download the watermarked PDF.

Why watermark with PDFPeach

Watermarks discourage casual reuse and make ownership or status obvious at a glance. PDFPeach applies them locally in the browser — free, no account, and no file sent to a server — so drafts and branded packets never leave your device.

You get a full-page overlay stamp, not a print-only watermark that disappears when someone shares the file digitally.

When to watermark a PDF

  • Marking drafts as CONFIDENTIAL, SAMPLE, or DO NOT DISTRIBUTE
  • Branding partner packs with a company logo on every page
  • Distinguishing review copies from final signed versions
  • Adding a light ownership mark before sharing outside your team

Text vs image

Text mode covers wording, font size, and angle (including the common 45° diagonal). Image mode centers a PNG or JPG logo on each page at the same angle as the text template.

Over vs under content

Over draws a normal semi-transparent stamp on top of the page. Under blends with Multiply so underlying text stays sharper while the mark still shows through.

Overlay limits

The watermark is stamped onto pages; it does not encrypt the file or permanently remove underlying content. For irreversible hiding of sensitive text, use Redact PDF. For open-password encryption, use Protect PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use an image watermark?

Yes. Choose Image, pick a PNG or JPG logo, and it is centered on each page at the same angle as the text template.

Will the watermark appear when someone prints?

Yes. It is part of the page content in the downloaded PDF, so it shows in viewers and typical print output.

Does watermarking password-protect the file?

No. A watermark is a visual stamp only. Use Protect PDF if you need an open password and permission limits.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Watermarking runs entirely in your browser on PDFPeach — free and private.
